build a new Sand Dam in Kenya
It’s a shocking fact that, worldwide, 1 in 10 people still don’t have access to clean water. That’s 785 million people who don’t have water for drinking, washing or cooking close to their homes. [link to stats: https://www.wateraid.org/facts-and-statistics]
At Rotary Leeds White Rose we’re doing our bit to change that. We’re raising funds to build a new Sand Dam in Kenya that will provide a whole community with access to clean water for decades to come.
