A Polio free world – A better world

Since 1985, Rotary’s key humanitarian priority has been to rid the world of polio. Rotary spearheaded the campaign at a time when there were over 1,000 cases a day in 125 countries, paralysing and even killing children. Today, the number of cases is down by 99.9%.

build a new Sand Dam in Kenya

It’s a shocking fact that, worldwide, 1 in 10 people still don’t have access to clean water. That’s 785 million people who don’t have water for drinking, washing or cooking close to their homes. [link to stats: https://www.wateraid.org/facts-and-statistics]
At Rotary Leeds White Rose we’re doing our bit to change that. We’re raising funds to build a new Sand Dam in Kenya that will provide a whole community with access to clean water for decades to come.

Excellent Developments

LS-TEN is a alternative provision for pupils who are close to, or have been excluded from their mainstream school. Based at the Skatepark in Hunslet, Leeds.
A small but incredibly caring school. Children are treated with respect, with nurture and support to help them re-engage with their learning both academically and socially so that they can hopefully re-integrate back into mainstream education.
