A Polio free world – A better world

Since 1985, Rotary’s key humanitarian priority has been to rid the world of polio. Rotary spearheaded the campaign at a time when there were over 1,000 cases a day in 125 countries, paralysing and even killing children. Today, the number of cases is down by 99.9%.

Charities we have helped

Leeds Childrens Charity

Leeds Children’s Charity creates happy childhood memories for the neediest of families, with fun-filled, week long breaks. With the support of local schools, social workers, families and carers, we take over 400 children away each year where they play, make friends and enjoy respite from the difficulties they face at home.

LS-TEN

LS-TEN is a alternative provision for pupils who are close to, or have been excluded from their mainstream school. Based at the Skatepark in Hunslet, Leeds.
A small but incredibly caring school. Children are treated with respect, with nurture and support to help them re-engage with their learning both academically and socially so that they can hopefully re-integrate back into mainstream education.
